Carson, 37, has played just 107 minutes of first team football for Pep Guardiola‘s side.

In this time he has picked up two Premier League winners’ medals, an FA Cup and a Champions League.

Tonight he added a Super Cup to his collection, making it a trophy nearly ever 20 minutes of action.

Carson was an unused substitute as City beat Sevilla 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in Greece.

The goalkeeper, who is behind Ederson and Stefan Ortega in the pecking order, was spotted among the trophy celebrations.

And fans loved his appearance.

One wrote: “Scott Carson has the best job in the world. This guy is just collecting medals for fun.”

While a second tweeted: “Another day, another winners medal for Scott Carson.”

A third wrote: “Has Scott Carson got more trophies than appearances for city?”

And a fourth commented: “Scott Carson is living the dream.”

Another added: “Scott Carson has landed himself some gig there at Man City. He’s hoovering up winners medals with no danger of ever being required to play.”

Remarkably, Carson has won the Champions League with two different clubs.

In 2005 he was Liverpool’s backup goalkeeper on the way to Istanbul.

Winning the competition with Man City earlier this year, Carson equalled Paulo Maldini’s stunning record of 18 years between Champions League triumphs.

Carson has made just two appearances for Man City.

He played the full 90 minutes as they beat Newcastle 4-3 in May 2021.

The veteran then came on for the final 17 minutes of City’s Champions League round of 16 second leg clash with Sporting Lisbon in March 2022.
