Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are already disagreeing before the Premier League season has even started in a debate about Arsenal.
The Sky Sports pundits were were both asked who they think will win the title this season – and of course they had differing opinions.
Manchester City have won the league four times consecutively with Mikel Arteta running Pep Guardiola close in the past two seasons.
Arsenal narrowed the gap on City from five points in 2022/23 to just two points last season and will be looking to make it third time lucky this time around.
City remain favourites with the bookmakers to win a seventh championship in eight seasons, while the Gunners are the most likely side to break their dominance, just ahead of Liverpool.
Neville, an eight-time title winner with Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, is tipping Arsenal to finally get over the line this season and prevent City from making it an unprecedented five in a row.
‘I think they’re on that sort of upward trajectory and I think they’re getting better every single year,’ Neville told Sky Sports.
‘Obviously they’re up against one of the great sides that this league has ever produced in Manchester City and Pep Guardiola, so it’s always going to be tough.
‘But I feel like they’ve got stability with the manager, they’ve got stability in the team, they’re getting better.
‘You can’t write off Manchester City, of course you can’t, but I’m going to say Arsenal again for this season just because they were so close last year and I feel like they might just be able to go that extra step this time.’
Liverpool legend Carragher disagreed with Neville and is predicting yet another victory parade for Man City.

He said: ‘Arsenal will be the closest challengers but Pep Guardiola, no matter what league he’s in, more often than not he wins the league title.
‘I think the only people to stop him was Jose Mourinho when he was at Real Madrid one season and Jurgen Klopp a few seasons ago in the Premier League.
‘That shows how tough it is. It’s been really tough for Arsenal and tough on them how close they’ve come in the last couple of seasons.
‘But I know from my own experience with my own team Liverpool, it’s a very difficult nut to crack is Manchester City.’

Despite expecting Guardiola to lead his side to glory again, Carragher did admit he would like to see another team win the league.
He added: ‘I think most neutrals would hope that there is a different winner – and I’d probably say the same because you don’t want the same team winning year after year.
‘But you have to take your hat off to Manchester City, the job Pep Guardiola has done and the team that they’ve got. They’re still the team to beat.’
Arsenal kick-off their campaign at home to Wolves on Saturday afternoon, while Man City will be without key midfielder Rodri for their curtain-raiser away at Chelsea on Sunday.
