A man allegedly tied his ex-girlfriend to a wheelchair and made her watch him dig her grave before murdering her.
Tony Charboneau, 36, ‘punched and stomped’ Amy Hogue, 43, after a verbal argument as she was leaving his home on June 20, according to a probable cause arrest affidavit filed with the Associate Circuit Court of Washington County. She then went missing.
Charboneau’s new girlfriend, Brandi Luffy, 40, admitted to investigators that she helped him put Hogue in a wheelchair and tie her to it with ratchet straps.
The couple left Hogue strapped to the wheelchair and watching as they got ‘shovels, tarps, pickax [sic], and a firearm’, police said.

They allegedly drove the items and Hogue in the back of her ex’s car from his home in Sullivan, Missouri, to a secluded area in the woods.
Hogue was forced to watch Charboneau dig a shallow grave before he shot her ‘in the head, then buried her’, according to a prosecutor.
Charboneau ‘spent the rest of the day burying her in the grave, covering her with large rocks and tree limbs’, states the affidavit.
Meanwhile, Luffy remained inside a vehicle to keep a watch out as Charboneau buried the victim, according to the affidavit. Charboneau also destroyed Hogue’s purse and the ratchet straps and a tarp used in the criminal act.

Hogue was identified by her son Corbin Crider’s wife, Taylor Crider.
‘Amy in no way deserved what happened to her,’ wrote Taylor in a GoFundMe page.
‘Corbin and I had just had our son and she went missing 4 days after he was born. Due to us being in Louisiana, and Amy in Missouri, Amy never got to meet her first grandchild.
‘She was taken away from them way too soon. Nobody deserves to go the way she went. She leaves behind a family that loved her dearly.’

Charboneau has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree domestic assault, abandonment of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
Luffy has been charged with felony murder, first-degree kidnapping, abandonment of a corpse, conspiracy to kidnap and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.
The GoFundMe page to have Hogue cremated and have a celebration of life for her had raised more than $2,600 as of Tuesday evening.
