FOOTBALL fans hilariously hailed Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson after he was spotted checking his watch on the touchline at Old Trafford.
The legendary Red Devils manager, 81, was in attendance for his former club’s 1-0 win over Wolves on Monday evening.

Ahead of the game, Fergie made his way to his seat by walking along the side of the pitch in front of supporters.
And he was seen glancing at his watch – a gesture many have brilliantly referenced as a nod to “Fergie Time”.
The phrase was coined in response to Ferguson often urging referees to play the allotted added time when his side needed a goal – and calling on them to blow the whistle when Man Utd were winning.
It was also attributed to stoppage time in general – with his team frequently scoring important goals in the dying seconds.
And a quick look at his watch – 10 years on from stepping down as Man Utd boss – led to much reaction on social media.
One person said: “I bet the touchline made him look at his watch. Fergie Time as always.”
Another added: “He’s still looking at the watch. Fergie Time.”
A third replied: “He’s still got that habit of looking at watching his watch frequently. Fergie Time.”

Ferguson coached Man Utd for 27 years between 1986 and 2013.
He won 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups and two Champions Leagues during his iconic era at the club.
Nowadays, he is a director on the board at Old Trafford.
But he will not have been impressed by Man Utd’s performance against Wolves as they laboured to an unconvincing win.
Erik ten Hag‘s men were opened up on numerous occasions and relied on a late Raphael Varane header to bail them out.
And Wolves boss Gary O’Neil was left furious when a penalty was not awarded despite Man Utd keeper Andre Onana appearing to wipe out substitute Sasa Kalajdzic inside the box.
The PGMOL later apologised to the ex-Bournemouth head coach.
