Kwara United have revealed the reason behind their decision to sack 22 players.
The Harmony Boys announced the sacking of the players on Monday.
Chairman of the club, Kumbi Titiloye emphasised that their departures occurred under varying circumstances.
Titiloye added that players departed the club for reasons which include the opportunity to play abroad.
“The process of transfers and players’ acquisitions at the commencement and conclusion of seasons can be rather intricate,” he stated during a chat with the media in Ilorin.
“Players depart for a multitude of reasons; some due to more enticing opportunities overseas, others because they were deemed surplus to requirements, while a few left through mutual agreement”.
