A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Cross River State chapter, Chief Angela Ogeyi Odey, has expressed appreciation to the governor of Cross River State governor, Senator Bassey Otu, on her appointment as Special Adviser on Rural Development to the Governor.
This was contained in a statement personally signed by her, where she described the appointment as deeply humbling, and she also promised to be dedicated and committed to service given the governor’s belief in her, and that she will also give the people her best.
Her appointment was welcomed with jubilation by the people based on her track record of performance, resilience, dedication, and hardworking spirit while she served in previous political offices she had held.
Meanwhile, she also expressed gratitude to the First Lady of Cross River State and Wife of the Governor for the new appointment, which offers her the opportunity to serve once again the people of Cross River State.
She assured that the best would be given to humanity, which is a major driver of her political activities even as she promised to carry everyone along with all sense of transparency and equity.
She said: “I am deeply humbled and grateful for this appointment.
“I thank the Governor for his trust in me, and I am committed to ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every corner of our rural communities.
“Humanity has always been my driving force, and it will continue to guide my actions and decisions.”
She also assured the governor and his esteemed wife of her unwavering support for their administration to succeed.
“I will continue to support the government and work diligently to ensure that our rural development initiatives are successful.
“Our focus will always be on uplifting the grassroots and bringing tangible improvements to the lives of our people,” she added.
As the Special Adviser on Rural Development to the Governor of Cross River State, the people aso said they believed in her capability and patriotism to effect the expected change through her office to change the narrative, especially at the grassroots for rapid development and giving the people a sense of belonging.
It would be recalled that Chief Mrs Angela Ogeyi Odey is the immediate-past Director-General, Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (CR-SEMA).
