Marc Cucurella says Spain should ‘expect everything’ in the final of Euro 2024, where they will take on either England or Netherlands.

Spain have been the standout team of the tournament so far, winning all their games en route to Sunday’s final.

Victories over Germany in the quarter-finals and France in the semis mean that they will almost certainly go into Sunday’s showpiece as favourites, regardless what happens when England and Netherlands meet on Wednesday night in Dortmund.

The English and the Dutch have not shone anywhere near as brightly as the Spanish so far this summer, but Cucurella knows they possess a lot of quality and will expect a tough challenge, whoever his team face in Berlin.

‘I think they are two big teams who have a lot of players,’ the Chelsea full-back told BeIN Sports.

‘Tomorrow we watch and enjoy the game and prepare when we know the next rivals.

‘I think both are good teams so we need to expect everything.’

Spain’s enthralling 2-1 win over France on Tuesday was lit up by a superb goal from 16-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal, and the side that was relatively unfancied before the tournament now heads into the final full of confidence.

‘I think for a lot of us it’s a dream,’ said Cucurella. ‘We came, one month ago, with this dream. We fight a lot.

‘We need to suffer a lot, but we play like a team. We are a family and I think we deserve to stay there. On Sunday, we need to enjoy this game.

‘I think we have a special team. We have a mix of the young players and the experienced players. We are a big group, a big family. We are very happy.’

On the remarkable Yamal, the 25-year-old added: ‘I don’t have words to explain this. I think he has a special talent.#

‘He’s very young but he has a lot of quality. If he stays in this way, he can be one of the best players in the world.’
