Poncho Serna will work as performance analyst with the Super Falcons at the 2024 Olympic Games, DAILY POST reports.
Serna announced his appointment on social media.
“I am very happy and excited to share this: during the Olympics Games I will be working with the Nigerian women’s team (@NGSuper_Falcons), in the area of performance analysis,” Serna wrote.
The Super Falcons are making their return to the Olympics after a 16-year absence.
Randy Waldrum’s ladies are drawn in Group C with Spain, Japan and Brazil.
The former African champions started preparation for the Olympics in Sevilla, Spain last weekend.
The Super Falcons will face Brazil in their opening fixture in Paris on Thursday, July 25, with games against Spain and Japan to follow.
