Kano New Nigeria Peoples Party rejects Kwankwaso’s expulsion, Abbas suspension

From Desmond Mgboh, Kano

Kano chapter of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP), has faulted the purported expulsion of the former presidential candidate of the party Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and the six month suspension of Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from the party.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) NNPP, on Sunday, affirmed the six months suspension of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, and the expulsion ofRabiu Kwankwaso from the party.

The resolution of the party was contained in a communique issued in Abuja, and jointly signed by Umar Jibril, and Omolara Johnson, following the NEC meeting held on May 27.

In a swift reaction, the state Chairman of the party in Kano, Hashimu Dungurawa said those who took the unpopular decision were not bonifide members the party.

According to him, the party viewed the expulsion of Kwankwaso and the suspension of Governor Yusuf as laughable, insisting hat it iwas carried out by expelled members who were sponsored by outside forces.

“Let me be clear to you that those People who said they suspended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and suspended Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, were long ago expelled from the Party over alleged anti-party activities and connivance with opposition to create problems in our party”.

” Iwondered how can a sponsored group of expelled members could suspend Abba Kabir Yusuf, who is the only Governor of the NNPP in the country, and expelled Kwankwaso, the party’s National leader.”

He further explained that, that the NNPP has only one single Governor and the Presidential Candidate of the Party, who nurtured it to it’s present position but you are saying you suspended them, can this made any sense to anybody?

“As a party, we remained resolute and strong, we would never be distracted by the evil machinations of some outsiders, who are hell-bent to destroy our formidable party, the NNPP.” he stated.

Dungurawa, alleged that he knows those who are behind the Crisis’s in the NNPP, “are those opposition who are afraid of the emergence of Kwankwaso as the next President of Nigeria, in 2027, God willing” he conclude..
