Brazil head coach, Dorival Junior, has confirmed Endrick will start in place of Vinicius Junior in their Copa America quarter-final clash with Uruguay on Saturday.
Vinícius is suspended for the match due to yellow card accumulation.
Endrick appeared in all three group fixtures in the Copa, but only as a substitute.
The 17-year-old is set to join Vinicius at Real Madrid next season.
“We lost an important player, but we gained another young man looking for an opportunity.
“Maybe it’s Endrick’s time to shine.
“Endrick isn’t specifically a stationary reference point sort of number 9, who prefers to do the pivot. He’s a player who moves around the pitch and makes those runs,” Dorival told reporters.
