But fans were at least treated to great value when it came to their refreshments.

One supporter shared a snap of their matchday hot dog to social media.

The tasty treat set the punter back £6.50.

And social media users couldn’t believe the size of the sausage on offer, after it was shared by Footy Scran.

One joked: “Hot dog is bigger than Evertons chance of staying in the premier league this year.”

While a second quipped: “The only result that stadium will see all season.”

A third tweeted: “Better value than the season ticket.”

Another added: “Looks as limp as the team.”

While a further social media user commented: “Big Dyche Energy.”

Everton’s woes in front of goal continued into this season, as they drew a blank against former boss Marco Silva’s stubborn Fulham.

Bobby Decordova-Reid struck the winner for the visitors on 73 minutes, with the Toffees falling to defeat.

After the match, Sean Dyche said: “Very frustrated with the outcome. We played well and the things to bring to a performance were there.

“We limited them to no chances in the first half, while creating nine or 10 chances ourselves. The mix of a performance as good, but we have to score a goal.

“It one of the highest chance counts since I have been here – and high-quality chances, which has always been my thing.”
