Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was greeted by his former Leicester City team-mate Ben Chilwell after completing a ‘really exciting’ move to Chelsea.
The midfielder has signed a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge after leaving his boyhood club, who he helped win the Championship last season to secure an immediate return to the Premier League.
Dewsbury-Hall will reunite with ex-Leicester boss Enzo Maresca, who joined Chelsea following Mauricio Pochettino’s departure from the club at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old, who has cost Chelsea £30m, was named Leicester’s player of the season in his final campaign at the King Power Stadium after scoring 12 goals and making 12 assists in 44 league games.
‘It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player,’ said Dewsbury-Hall.
‘This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here. I’m really excited to get going and can’t wait to show everybody what I can do.’
Dewsbury-Hall was pictured embracing former team-mate Chilwell at Chelsea’s training ground. Like the new Blues signing, Chilwell also left Leicester to move to Stamford Bridge.
