Mel C has declared her thoughts about a Spice Girls reunion at Glastonbury 2025, saying it would be a ‘belting’ idea to get the Girl Power group back together.
The Wannabe hitmakers dominated the pop charts of the 1990s, scoring nine number one singles in just under four years, becoming one of the biggest musical acts of their era.
Rumours that they might be reuniting began swirling when all five girls – Baby Spice, Scary Spice, Ginger Spice, Sporty Spice, and Posh Spice – were spotted at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday in April.
And then Mel C made a surprise appearance at Glastonbury 2024 when she helped out Orbital during their set on the Park Stage, delighting everyone in the crowd.
So, are Spice Girls gearing up to spice up the lives of everyone at Worthy Farm in 2025? Well, new comments from Mel C after her Glasto surprise suggest so!
Speaking to Chris Moyles on Radio X, Mel said initially said she’d be up for performing a solo gig, playing through the hits she had after the Spice Girls split up.

‘Well, it would be quite nice to do it on my own, wouldn’t it?’ she said. ‘I might have some new music out. Well, I will have some new music out next year.’
But, she said, the dream scenario would be reuniting with the Spice Girls and playing to over 100,000 people on the world famous Pyramid Stage.
She continued: ‘I think the absolute ultimate would be to do it with the Spice Girls. There’s nothing I would like more. But you know, while they’re still making their minds up.’

Looking back to the time when the Spice Girls were at their height, Mel said that playing Glastonbury was never an option because pop groups never used to play festivals.
Discussing whether the time is now right for the Spice Girls in the 2020s, Mel commented: ‘It would be a belting headliner.’
However, despite strong rumours and hints of a comeback, Victoria’s husband David Beckham poured water on the possibility of a reunion after his wife’s 50th.
He said: ‘Unfortunately, that’s not happening. Victoria was so pleased to see the girls and it was a massive part of her life, but obviously, all the girls have got their own things going on.’
David carried on: ‘They will do certain things together at certain times. I know it’s what people want, but in all honesty, I think I was the most excited of anyone.’
So, while the Spice Girls reunion in 2025 might well be on hold, people are already speculating about the three main headline acts at Worthy Farm for 12 months time.
Among the names being touted at Taylor Swift, who was supposed to headline in 2020 before Covid cancelled the festival, and Madonna, who was heavily rumoured for the third headline slot in 2024 but was surprisingly absent from the official line-up.
