PREMIER LEAGUE clubs have already spent well over a billion pounds this summer with some big names making moves.
Stars such as Rasmus Hojlund and Josko Gvardiol have made big money moves to England during the window as well as some big deals between top-flight clubs.

Arsenal have been by far the biggest spenders this summer so far with Declan Rice‘s arrival surpassing the £100million mark.
The Englishman’s signing along with Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber, means the club has spent upwards of £200m.
The Gunners are not the only team to have spent big so far with Chelsea also splashing the cash yet again with over £175m being spent on six players such as Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.
But only so many of the Premier League top deals can make it into the best XI of summer transfers.
The players that have made the grade have been bought for a combined fee of £603.2m.
GK – Andre Onana, £47.2m
The new Manchester United stopper cost the club a pretty penny from Inter Milan after he eventually made the £47.2m switch.
He is not the only goalkeeper to arrive in the Premier League this summer with Mark Flekken joining Brentford, Brighton signing Bart Verbruggen and Guglielmo Vicario replacing Hugo Lloris at Tottenham.
He is expected to be the biggest upgrade in the league as he takes the reigns from veteran stopper David de Gea after an error-prone season.
LCB – Josko Gvardiol, £77m
Manchester City made their annual statement signing, but this year they bought highly-rated Croatian international Josko Gvardiol.
The 21-year-old cost the treble winners a near-record fee for a defender as they forked out £77m to sign him.
Gvardiol joined after a breakthrough stint with RB Leipzig, where he racked up 88 appearances and won back-to-back German Cups with the club.

CB – Pau Torres, £33m
Aston Villa got themselves a major coup when they announced the signing of Pau Torres from Aston Villa.
The Spanish international had been previously linked with the likes of Tottenham, Manchester United and Juventus.
The defender is expected to play a big role under Unai Emery as the Villans undergo a campaign which includes a crack at the Conference League.

RCB – Jurrien Timber, £39m
One of two Arsenal players to make into the best XI of the window is Jurrien Timber.
The Dutch international will provide Mikel Arteta with the perfect level of ability and utility as he is able to play multiple roles across the backline.
Arsenal’s downfall last season was a lack of quality depth which saw them miss out on the Premier League title, this season however they appear to have fixed that problem.

CDM – Declan Rice, £105m
The second and final Arsenal player to make the team is West Ham‘s Conference League-winning captain Declan Rice.
The defensive midfielder has established himself as one of the best in his position due to his impressive performances for the Hammers.
Rice will help protect the Gunners’ backline as well as provide some incredible athleticism in the midfield, although he has a lot to do to justify his mega price tag.

CDM – Sandro Tonali, £55m
Like Villa, Newcastle are looking to establish themselves among the top clubs in the Premier League.
The Magpies Saudi owners have continued to back manager Eddie Howe following Champions League qualification with the signing of Italy international Sandro Tonali.
The combative midfielder will form a solid partnership alongside Bruno Guimarães and looked like a world-class player at AC Milan.

LM – Dominik Szoboszlai, £60m
The Hungarian star is the second former RB Leipzig star to make the team after Gvardiol.
Liverpool signed the attacking midfielder to form part of their new-look midfielder following the exits of Fabinho, Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson.
Szoboszlai will provide the Reds with creativity as well as being a goal threat himself.

CAM – Alexis Mac Allister, £40m
Alexis Mac Allister was a big reason behind Brighton’s success last season and he is almost the perfect signing for Liverpool.
The Argentine World Cup winner is able to play throughout the middle of the pitch from a deep-lying ball player to an out-and-out attacking midfielder.
His ability to cover multiple roles will suit new manager Jurgen Klopp as the German looks to switch up his midfield tactics for the new season.

RM – James Maddison, £45m
While Maddison may be used in a more central role for Tottenham, he will take the right-midfield position in this team.
The English international starred for Leicester City last season as he scored ten and assisted nine more goals, but it was not enough to save the Foxes from the drop.
Playing alongside Harry Kane, should he stay, could see Maddison’s number improve even further should he hit the ground running in North London.

ST – Rasmus Hojlund, £72m
The Danish striker might be quick and sound like Erling Haaland but there is no reason why the similarities will stop there.
Hojlund joined Man United and has instantly become the leading striker due to the lack of other options.
However, the 20-year-old showed plenty of promise in his debut campaign in Serie A for Atalanta with his blistering pace and eye for goal.
If he is able to develop his game under manager Erik ten Hag then United could have themselves a future star.

ST – Nicolas Jackson, £30m
The new Chelsea striker will have a lot of expectations on his shoulder following his excellent second half of the season at Villarreal.
Jackson, 22, fired in nine goals in the final eight games of the LaLiga campaign last season and has shown some brilliant skill during pre-season for the Blues.
If he is able to continue that immense form for Chelsea, he could solve the club’s issues in front of goal that saw them only net 38 times in the Premier League last season.

Honourable mentions
Kai Havertz and Mason Mount have both left Chelsea this summer after poor seasons at Stamford Bridge,
The duo were sold for a combined fee of £125m, but are expected to recapture their best form at Arsenal and Manchester United, respectively.
Another player that was in with a shout is Aston Villa new boy Moussa Diaby.
The ex-Bayer Leverkusen winger was chased by multiple top teams this summer but found himself at Villa Park, where he could help the club grow further under Emery.
