The final round of Euro 2024 group games start on Sunday evening with the line-up for the knockout stages set to be complete over the next few days.

But whilst a handful of teams have already secured their place in the Round of 16, for some their Euro 2024 dream is over just a little over a week since the competition began.

England look well-placed to reach the last 16, sitting top of Group C with four points, which should be enough to bag the Three Lions one of the four-best third-place spots available should England trip up against Slovenia on Tuesday.

Let’s take a look at which teams are still in Euro 2024 and which nations have already been knocked out.

Germany have opened their campaign on home soil with wins over Scotland and Hungary as the hosts look to win their first European Championship since 1996.

Spain made light-work of the so-called ‘Group of Death’ with victories over Croatia and Italy seeing them qualify as group winners.

Portugal booked their place in the Round of 16 with wins against Czech Republic and Turkey, as group winners, with Roberto Martinez’s side catching the eye in Germany with their star-studded squad.

Which teams have been knocked out of Euro 2024?

Poland became the first team to be knocked out of Euro 2024 after falling to two defeats in their opening two fixtures.

The Poles let slip a 1-0 lead over the Netherlands to eventually lose 2-1 in their first game, which was subsequently followed up by a 3-1 defeat to an impressive-looking Austria side on Friday.

Robert Lewandowski played no part in Poland’s clash vs the Dutch, and was forced to start against Austria on the bench before coming on as a second-half substitute.

Michal Probierz’s men finish their Euro 2024 campaign against France on Tuesday.
