In preparation for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, has deployed 800 officers and men to ensure the safety and security of residents during the festival.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Corps in the state, SC Buhari Sa’ad, the State commandant, Muhammad Bello Muazu has ordered the deployment to guarantee a hitch-free celebration from June 16 to 18, 2024.
The personnel, he said, have been tasked with ensuring robust security arrangements at worship grounds, protecting lives and property, and maintaining law and order throughout the state.
“Commandant Muazu wishes all Muslims a happy Sallah celebration and urges the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest security agency.
“This deployment aims to ensure a peaceful and joyous celebration for all in Gombe State,” he added.
