President Bola Tinubu on Thursday approved the appointment of Mr Tanimu Yakubu as the new Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation.
DAILY POST reports that the appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of Mr. Ben Akabueze.
Tinubu’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, said in a statement that Yabuku is an accomplished economist, stating that he served as the Chief Economic Adviser to late President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua from 2007 to 2010.
Yakubu was also the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria between 2003 and 2007.
According to the statement, Tinubu also thanked the outgoing director-general for his services, wishing him success in his future endeavours.
