Ignore fictitious statement about Police recruitment – PSC

The Police Service Commission, PSC, has disowned a statement saying the change in leadership position would not affect the police recruitment exercise

DAILY POST recalls a statement saying “that the change in leadership at the Police Service Commission (PSC) is not expected to affect the 2022 recruitment process. The recruitment process was already ongoing and had reached an advanced stage before the change in leadership.

“The new chairman, Hashimu Argungu, has even given assurances that the commission will continue with the recruitment process and that the list of successful candidates will be released soon.”

But Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Press and Public Relations of the Commission debunked the alleged statement saying it did not emanate from the commission

It said “Pls I wish to disown this Press statement which is not from me and not known to me.

“Recently there have been fictitious statements credited to me in the social media but which are obviously not from me. Pls kindly ignore these statements. Thanks and God bless” the statement said
