Kogi health ministry dismisses recruitment rumor

The Kogi State Ministry of Health has dismissed rumours circulating about the recruitment of personnel by the State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) and the State Specialist Hospital, describing them as baseless and untrue.

In a statement issued by the ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Dorothy Onoja, on behalf of the Commissioner for Health, the ministry made it clear that neither the HMB nor the State Specialist Hospital is conducting any recruitment exercise at the moment.

“It is important to clarify that these rumours are entirely false. The HMB and State Specialist Hospital are not currently engaged in any recruitment activities,” the statement read.

The ministry further cautioned the public to be vigilant and avoid falling prey to fraudulent individuals claiming to offer employment opportunities in exchange for payment. Onoja emphasized that no government official would demand payment for employment opportunities and advised the public to disregard such claims.

“For accurate and up-to-date information on job opportunities within the Kogi State Hospitals Management Board and State Specialist Hospital, we recommend visiting their official website or contacting them directly,” the statement added.

The ministry assured the public that any future recruitment exercises would be duly approved by the government and announced through official channels.
