Omar Marmoush insisted that his sole focus remains with Eintracht Frankfurt despite reported transfer interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Marmoush joined Frankfurt on a free transfer in May 2023 and went on to enjoy an impressive debut season with the club, racking up 12 goals and six assists in the Bundesliga.

The 25-year-old has picked up where he left off this term, notching 13 goals and seven assists in 15 Bundesliga appearances to help his side into third place come the winter break.

But his eye-catching performances have also put elite teams from across Europe on red alert, with two Premier League clubs, in particular, interested in the Egyptian international.

Liverpool have reportedly held a long-standing interest in Marmoush but Arsenal have also emerged as another frontrunner for his signature as they look to fill the void left by Bukayo Saka’s injury.

Marmoush, however, has insisted that he is not thinking about his next move and is only focused on helping Frankfurt build upon their impressive start to the campaign.

‘There’s always a lot of speculation on the outside. But I don’t actually have a particular dream goal,’ he told German publication Bild when asked about his future.

‘What I can promise the fans is that I will give my all for Eintracht in every game. I am not thinking about a transfer. I am living in the here and now and enjoying my time in Frankfurt.

‘Eintracht believed in me and put their trust in me. I want to repay that trust with good performances and goals. What happens in the distant future, however, doesn’t interest me.

‘I want to continue to do my best so that at the end of the season we can say as a team: We have achieved something big.’

It is believed Marmoush could be available for a fee of between €50m-€60million (£42m-£51m), with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2027

While the forward may be difficult to prise away from Frankfurt this month, Ian Wright said that Marmoush would be one of his two dream signings for Arsenal in January.

‘I’d like people to have a look at Omar Marmoush at Eintracht Frankfurt and Ademola Lookman at Atalanta,’ the former Gunners striker told the Wrighty’s House podcast last month.

‘I’m going hard on those two! Go and look at Omar Marmoush at Eintracht Frankfurt, what he’s doing.’

‘He [Marmoush] assists, he takes corners… he has really good pace.’

Wright added: ‘You look at them… the way we play and what we need, the both of them would be perfect. They would be brilliant.’
