Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has appointed Mr Benson Ojeikere as the new Head of the Abia State Civil Service.
Ojeikere will succeed Mrs Ngozi Queen Obioma, the present HoS, who is proceeding on statutory retirement.
A statement signed by Professor Kenneth Kalu, the Secretary to Abia State Government, on Monday, said the appointment of Ojeikere followed “the conclusion of a rigorous merit-based selection process”.
He added that the appointment takes effect from December 31, 2024.
