THIS is the unbelievable moment a thief swipes a Brit tourist’s phone just as he proposes to his girlfriend in Barcelona.

Charlie propped up his phone on the wall as the two posed for a picture outside Barcelona‘s famous Arc de Triomf, with Hannah totally unaware of what’s to happen next.

Footage shows Charlie dropping to one knee and grab the ring from his pocket in the magical proposal.

Hannah covers her mouth in utter shock before saying yes as the two embrace.

Whilst the two, who had been together for a year-and-a-half, continued to hug, a thief makes a rapid attempt to snatch the phone.

The man in a black coat is captured walking up to the device before grabbing it.

Luckily, Charlie was able to thwart him and get his phone back in the Spanish city after spotting he had taken it.

Charlie, of Newbury, Berkshire, told NeedToKnow: “It ruined the moment slightly.

“I just wanted to propose to my girlfriend and some lovely guy wanted to steal my phone.

“He immediately handed it back.

“I didn’t notice, my partner did, I only knew because she shouted at him and upon turning round he was handing the phone back.”

The couple’s pals were left shocked from the moment but happy for the pair.

One said: “Leaving your phone unattended in Barcelona was bold.”

Another added: “This is the issue with modern times, people think they can leave their phones on this side because it ‘shouldn’t’ get stolen.”

The couple didn’t bother reporting it to the cops as they got the phone back.

Similarly, this is the shocking moment a TikToker has her phone swiped by a brazen e-bike thief while she is using it to film a video.

Model Astrid Wett was filming content for her page with fellow TikTok pal Leah when the thief struck.

CCTV captures the pair dancing in unison, with the phone propped up on a wall near Chelsea Bridge.

The thief, who is riding a Lime bike, whizzes by and swipes the phone, leaving the two women seemingly shocked.
