Manchester United’s starting line-up for their Premier League clash against Manchester City has been ‘leaked’ ahead of Sunday’s match at the Etihad Stadium.
Ruben Amorim’s side face City this weekend having lost their last two Premier League games, although they bounced back on Thursday evening with a 2-1 win against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.
Earlier this week, Alejandro Garnacho’s brother, Roberto, denied accusations on social media that he has been the source of several team news leaks which have been released before United’s fixtures.
Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Erik ten Hag all had their team selections shared on social media before official confirmation came from United, and Amorim may now have suffered the same experience ahead of his first Manchester derby against City.
On Saturday evening, Manchester Evening News’ Samuel Luckhurst shared an ‘unconfirmed’ United starting XI on his Facebook page.
The ‘leaked’ United line-up shared in the post was: Onana; Maguire, De Ligt, Martinez; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dalot; Mount, Amad; Hojlund.
Providing that line-up is accurate, Amorim would be making four changes from the side that started against Viktoria Plzen on Thursday.
Harry Maguire would be brought in as part of Amorim’s three-man defence with Noussair Mazraoui pushing further forward, while Tyrell Malacia moves out of the team.
Manuel Ugarte and Mason Mount start ahead of Casemiro and Marcus Rashford, while in attack, Rasmus Hojlund, who scored twice in United’s Europa League win on Thursday night, is preferred to Joshua Zirkzee.
United currently sit 13th in the Premier League, nine points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
Guardiola’s side, meanwhile, are in fifth but will go level on 30 points with third-placed Arsenal if they beat United.
