Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim was full of praise for defender Leny Yoro following his debut for the club.

The Frenchman emerged from the bench to make his first appearance for the club during United’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday.

Yoro suffered a foot fracture during a pre-season friendly against the Gunners in July following his £52m move from Lille.

The 19-year-old was deployed on the right of a back three as he made his debut and he impressed, dealing well with the one-on-one threat of Leandro Trossard.

Yoro is considered one of the brightest talents in world football, with United beating Real Madrid and Liverpool to his signature.

And Amorim was clearly impressed with the defender following his debut.

‘You can feel it, the talent, the speed, the way he handled one against ones in a difficult stadium after a lot of time without playing,’ said Amorim.

United are back in action against Nottingham Forest on Saturday at Old Trafford.

Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez are both set to return after serving a one-match suspension.
