A former member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Patrick Okon, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State.
Okon’s switch to APC followed his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The University of Calabar lecturer announced his resignation from the PDP in a letter addressed to the party chairman in Eneyo South ward, Akpabuyo local government area of the state.
He was however silent on the reason for leaving the PDP.

The letter read: “I wish to formally inform you of my decision to withdraw my membership of the PDP with immediate effect.
“As I leave your political fold, I will always hold dearly in my heart the comradery we shared, and I wish to thank you for all the support you gave me as the leader of the PDP in my ward.”
Okon was a former chairman of Akpabuyo LGA.
He also served as member of the state House of Assembly under the PDP.
