Everyone can see the boozy Xmas party – but you have a high IQ if you can find out how they are paying for it in 12secs

THIS is the brainteaser that will put you in a boozy mood as you try to find the cash the partiers are using to fund their night.

Everyone can see the cartoon drinkers getting a little bit too merry, but only those with a high IQ and 20/20 vision can spot all ten of the £10 notes in the scene.

The puzzle will take you back to the last work party you went to, where you were reminded how much of a lightweight your boss is.

The people in the picture seem to be at different stages of their night, and the dance floor is certainly being used well.

Maybe when you think of a Christmas party, you think of having a boogie, or maybe you think of making small talk with someone you only see at work.

Those who take on this tricky puzzle are reminded to be responsible drinkers, and not to fall into the trap of spending your bonus on one night.

What makes this optical illusion difficult is the lack of colours to work with, making spotting different shapes harder.

The amount of people in the scene also complicates things.

They key to this optical illusion is to focus on the spaces around the people, not the people themselves.

Are you ready, because last orders have been called, and the clock is ticking!

If you’re still struggling, a hint would be to start up the top of the picture and work down.

This illusion comes after a study by ANNA found that out of 500 SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) owners, half blame the new budget for their scaled back Christmas celebrations this year.

The average SME will set aside just £1,353 for their celebrations to round off 2025 – equalling £108 per employee.

How can optical illusions and brainteasers help me?

Engaging in activities like solving optical illusions and brainteasers can have many cognitive benefits as it can stimulate various brain regions.

Some benefits include:

  • Cognitive stimulation: Engaging in these activities challenges the brain, promoting mental agility and flexibility.
  • Problem-solving skills: Regular practice enhances analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Memory improvement: These challenges often require memory recall and can contribute to better memory function.
  • Creativity: They encourage thinking outside the box, fostering creativity and innovative thought processes.
  • Focus and attention: Working on optical illusions and brainteasers requires concentration, contributing to improved focus.
  • Stress relief: The enjoyable nature of these puzzles can act as a form of relaxation and stress relief.

The survey went on to find 53 per cent believe festive celebrations are important for boosting team morale.

But 61 per cent are determined to host a successful event for their company this year, with 45 per cent saying it’s because their staff deserve a reward.

And 31 per cent of those who don’t want to scrap it have too much fun to cancel it.

This year 37 per cent will be having a meal out, 28 per cent will be going for drinks and 17 per cent will be hiring a DJ.

People who are able to solve the puzzle quickly possess good observational skills and high cognitive speed.

It tests your ability to process a high volume of visual information and the ability to concentrate under high amounts of pressure.

Psychologists at The University of Glasgow found that staring at an optical illusion can improve eye sight by allowing you to see small print.

Escape London says puzzles can also give your mind a great workout and may “boost your brain’s activity” which “reduces the risk of dementia.”

These can help to stimulate several parts of the brain at the same time.

Tasks like this can also provide people with a productive way to have fun and relax.

Have you solved it? Don’t worry, if you’re still struggling we’ve included the solution to the brainteaser down below.

If you’ve solved that, why not try testing your mental agility on these ones?
