APC appoints Akande, Akpabio, Zulum others to Ondo governorship election sub-committees

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee has set up sub-committees to spearhead the party’s activities for the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State.

The APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, unveils the list on Monday morning in Abuja.

The party’s pioneer National Chairman, Bisi Akande, will head the Elders Committee with a former governorship aspirant in the state, Pius Akinyelure, as the deputy chairman.

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State was appointed as the Chairman of the Finance Committee with Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, as his deputy.

The Media and Publicity Committee is headed by the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, while the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Idris Mohammed will serve as the deputy chairman.

The duo of Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum and his Gombe State counterpart, Inuwa Yahaya, will lead the Security sub-committee.

The statement read: “The National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in consultation with the National Working Committee, has approved the composition of the Ondo state Gubernatorial National Campaign Council.

“The inauguration of the Ondo State National Gubernatorial Campaign Council will be held at the International Event Centre (The Dome) in Akure, Ondo State on October 28.”
