The Republican presidential running mate, James Donald Vance, has said the survival of assassination attempt by the party’s candidate, Donald Trump was a miracle.
A 20-year-old Mathews Crooks had attempted to assassinate Trump on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Crooks, who shot severally at Trump during his presidential campaign rally, missed to bring him down, but the bullet hit the former president’s ear.
The 20-year-old was, however, neutralized by the secret service on the spot.
However, Trump, Vance and his campaign team returned to Butler last night.
Speaking at the campaign rally, Vance said: “What happened here in Butler, PA on July 13th was nothing short of a miracle. On that day, America felt the truth of scripture:
“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
“Glad to be back in Butler with @realDonaldTrump.”
