Angry Rivers State citizens on Friday stormed the office of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, demanding the conduct of the October 5 local government elections in the state
The protesters were said to have defied the heavy rainfall in the state, singing and drumming, with one side of the road blocked.
This comes after Governor Siminalayi Fubara stormed the RSIEC at 1 am on Friday, to stop the Rivers State Police Command from taking over the premises.
