A RYANAIR flight has been abandoned after an explosion left the wing of a plane on fire.
All 184 passengers onboard were forces to evacuate the aircraft as it sat smoking on the runway in Italy this morning.
No one was injured during the failed takeoff from the Aeroporti di Puglia airport in Brindisi.
The flight was due to head off to Turin when those onboard noticed a “strong flame” from underneath the wing of the Boeing 737.
Passengers were escorted off on an inflatable slide after “moments of fear”, report Correire Della Sera.
The airport has since been closed as firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the blaze.
