The Niger State Police Command has deployed personnel and operational assets for public safety and orderliness during the October 1st Independence Day celebration in the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman made this known in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, in Minna.
He explained that Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs had been directed to ensure that police visibility is enhanced in their various areas to avert any act of breach of public peace.
According to him, the Command had earlier engaged labour leaders, trade unions, youth and students leaders in the state and other critical stakeholders towards ensuring and sustaining the relative peace for economic growth and development in the state.
“Therefore, all hands have been on deck, it has been a collaborative effort and together we shall continue to create a peaceful atmosphere for businesses to thrive in our society.”
The CP wished all residents of the state a happy independence celebration while urging all to shun acts of violence.
