Bayern Munich are eyeing up a big money move for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker next year, in what could be a summer of huge change at Anfield.

There is uncertainty over the future of a number of the Reds’ biggest players, with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold all in the final years of their contracts.

Losing any of those players will be a blow for the club, while all three departing on free transfers would be a seismic change to the starting XI.

Those three are not the only big players who could be on the move at the end of the season, with interest in another Liverpool stalwart.

The Sun report that Bayern are looking for a replacement for Manuel Neuer next year and the Brazilian goalkeeper is one of their preferred candidates.

Neuer is now 38 years old and will turn 39 before the end of the season, with injury problems blighting him over the last couple of seasons.

The legendary German stopper is still first choice, but he made just 12 Bundesliga appearances in the 2022-23 season and 23 over the last campaign.

The veteran’s contract expires at the end of the season and whether he stays at the club beyond that point is yet to be decided.

Liverpool have already agreed a deal for goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili to arrive next summer, when he will arrive at Anfield from Valencia.

The 24-year-old Georgia international remains in Spain this season but will be hoping to compete for a place in the Liverpool first team when he lands on Merseyside next year.

Alisson’s contract at Anfield runs until 2027, so despite turning 32 next month, he would still cost any interested club a substantial amount after Liverpool paid £66.8m for him in 2018.
