Alumni To Mark FGGC Bida 50th Anniversary

Alumni of the Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Bida have said they would conduct free medical outreach to offer health services to the Niger State host community in appreciation of its unwavering support for the school since its establishment 50 years ago.

The global president of the association, Hilda Nkor, stated this at a press conference Abuja yesterday to kick-off the 50th anniversary celebration of the school.

Nkor said funds raised from the gala night and fundraising event slated for October 12 would be deployed to support vital school projects and scholarships for deserving students.

She said the association’s week-long activities would commence with a sensitisation and public awareness campaign in Bida on October 7 to shed light on the school’s impact and address key issues that align with its values as an institution of learning.

According to Nkor the activities will culminated with a grand finale of the 50th anniversary celebration on the Founder’s Day for October 14 at the Multi-purpose Hall of FGGC Bida when the Etsu Nupe, HRH Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, will commission the 50th-anniversary projects by the Old Girls.
