Iconic British singer, Sir Elton John, has opened up about his struggle with an eye infection.
The 77-year-old in a personally signed statement, disclosed that the infection has left him with “limited vision” in one of his eyes.
He revealed that his healing has been extremely slow.
“l’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye. I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye,” the statement read in part.
John added that he is “feeling positive about the progress I have made in healing and recovery thus far.”
The septuagenarian announced his retirement from touring a few months ago.
His farewell tour which ended early last year, bringing in $939 million (£749 million) over 328 shows, was the highest-grossing music tour in history before the record was overtaken by Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour ($1 billion).
