Kalu Aja, a financial analyst, has slammed those who never wanted Dangote Refinery to succeed in Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) production in Nigeria.
Aja made the observation in a terse statement on Tuesday on his X account while reacting to the rollout of Dangote Petrol.
According to him, those who described Dangote Refinery as unlicensed and inferior are startled by the commencement of PMS processing at the 650,000 barrels per day Lagos-based Dangote Refinery.
“A few weeks ago, ‘they’ called Dangote Refinery ‘unlicensed’ and ‘inferior’. You clapped.
“We said a $15 billion investment should be appreciated. We tweeted about MALTA, you denied
“Today, Dangote Refinery is here, you are slithering to claim it”, he stated.
This comes as Dangote Group President, Aliko Dangote officially on Tuesday announced that petrol production has begun in his refinery.
Dangote stated that the development means an end to prolonged queues and fuel imports in Nigeria.
This comes at the same time, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited increased petrol pump price to N897 per litre from N617.
