The Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC) has declared All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates in all the 21 Local Government Areas and 225 wards as winners of the Council elected.
The Council election,it could be recalled ,was held on August 31,2024 while the main opposition political party,Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) withdrew from the poll leaving 17 other political parties to slug it out with the ruling party, APC.
While declaring the results, KESIEC Commissioner 2, in- charge of Information and Communication,Alhaji Muhammad Kaura Dan-Hakimi, told newsmen at the Commission’s headquarters that the results which have been declared at various Councils and wards,shown that all candidates of APC have won in their respective LGAs.
According to him, ” in all the Local Government Areas and Wards leve, APC candidates have won”, he said.
Earlier, Chairman of the Commission,Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad Mera, confirmed to the newsmen that all the LGA results have been declared at the various LGAs and wards.
According to him, “the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC) wishes to announce the official results of the Kebbi State Local Government elections held on Saturday 31st of August,2024 as already declared by the various Local Government Returning Officers in all the 21 Local Government Areas across the State”, he said.
He added that all the full list of the elected Chairmen and Councillors will be communicated to newsmen through the Commission’s PRO soonest.
