The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, yesterday, pledged to give interest-free loans to traders if elected governor of the state.
Besides, he promised to help the Traders in building the Union’s Secretariat on the plot of land donated to them by the late Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa.
Speaking at Cook Road, Benin City, while campaigning to traders of New Building Materials Sellers Association, Okpebholo said “Any money invested on you traders will not be lost, so I will fulfill my promise immediately I enter as a governor.
“I am coming to work for Edo people and not to steal their money, vote APC September 21 and freedom will come your way”, he pleaded.
Earlier, the Director General of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Campaign Council, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, told the traders that he brought the party candidate to talk to them on what he wants to do and also hear their demands.
Responding, the President of the association, Nonso Ibeh, said Senator Urhoghide has been their person, stating that he came to them twice for his election and he won, so today’s visit will not be different.

Speaking to people in Idumu Ewase community in Isihuhe Street, off Mission Road Benin, City, Okpebholo told them not to vote for PDP as the candidate will behave like his master, Governor Obaseki.
