In a commendable and rare display of honesty, an employee of the Nigeria Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), Auwal Ahmed Dankode found $10,000 inside an aircraft while performing his routine cleaning duties and immediately reported the discovery to the airline management.

Without delay, Dankode reported the discovery to the airline company’s manager.
A few minutes later, an Arab man rushed back to the aircraft, searching frantically for the missing money. After a series of questions to verify his claim, the manager confirmed that the money belonged to him, matching the seat where the envelope containing the cash was found.
The man, was relieved and overjoyed upon the return of his money. In a heartfelt display of gratitude, he hugged Dankode multiple times, thanking him for his honesty.
Reflecting on the incident, Dankode said, “Many people at the airport lifted me up, praising me for the good deed. Honestly, I feel very elated and excited. I’m so happy that God used me to make someone else happy.
“I was just doing my job when I found the money. I knew immediately what I had to do. Reporting it was the right thing to do.” he added.
