The Manchester clubs enjoyed different experiences in the Premier League on Saturday, with Manchester United losing to Brighton while Manchester City thrashed Ipswich.
Joao Pedro headed home a dramatic 95th-minute winner for Brighton who extended their 100% start of the season.
Danny Welbeck had given the hosts a first-half lead with his fifth Premier League goal against his old club before Amad Diallo levelled on the hour mark.
The Red Devils thought they had won the game themselves when Alejandro Garnacho turned home Bruno Fernandes’ low cross 18 minutes from time but it was ruled out for offside.

At the Etihad Stadium, Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick to help Manchester City come from behind to beat Ipswich 4-1.
The visitors had opened scoring in the seventh minute when Sammie Szmodics scored on his full debut, squeezing a shot through the legs of goalkeeper Ederson.
But City fought back. Haaland converted a penalty in the 12th minute followed by another goal from Kevin de Bryune and two more from Haaland.
Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspot defeated Everton 4-0, with Son Heung-Min scoring a brace.
In the other Premier League games played concurrently, Fulham defeated Leicester City 2-1, Crystal Palace lost 2-0 at home to West Ham and Southampton lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.
