Brighton vs Man Utd: Confirmed starting lineup and team news

Erik ten Hag has named an unchanged starting XI for Manchester United as they travel to face Brighton on Saturday.

Summer signing Noussair Mazraoui retains his place at right back, with Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez the preferred centre-back duo.

Digo Dalot retains his place at left-back as Matthijs de Ligt starts on the bench yet again.

Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo are partners in the midfield, with Amad Diallo, Mason Mount, and Marcus Rashford playing in the front three behind captain Bruno Fernandes.

Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirizkee, who scored the winner in United’s opening-day victory over Fulham at Old Trafford, remain on the bench.

Jadon Sancho, meanwhile, looks to be heading ever closer to the exit having not been named in the matchday squad for a second successive match.

The Englishman could now leave Old Trafford before the end of the window, with Juventus the frontrunners having held talks to sign the winger.

Rasmus Hojlund and Luke Shaw are still sidelined with injury.

Meanwhile, Brighton eased to a dominant 3-0 win over Everton in Fabian Hurzeler’s first game in charge last weekend, make one change as Billy Gilmour replaces Mats Wieffer in midfield.

Yankuba Minteh recovers from his head injury to return to the starting lineup, while former Red Devils striker Danny Welbeck leads the line against his former club.
