Propak West Africa Conference To Unlock Nigeria Food Security

Propak West Africa has stated that its upcoming conference will unlock Nigeria’s food security.
Propak, the largest exhibition for the packaging, plastics, printing and food processing industries in West Africa will bring together over 5,500 stakeholders from across the manufacturing industry.

Taking place on September 10, 2024 with the theme, ‘Unlocking Nigeria Food Security: Implementation of Smart Sustainable Packaging to Reduce Food Waste’. The program will cover this hugely important subject with sessions looking at innovative approaches to sustainable packaging, cold chain technologies to reduce post-harvest loss, e-commerce platforms for food distribution and how to implement sustainable packaging in the food supply chain.

In a release to LEADERSHIP, Propak said that the conference will line up a new feature and over fifty speakers included.

“Launching for the first time this year is the Product Innovation Stage, this new feature will provide an intimate setting for leading brands including Tetrapak West Africa, SACMI, Bobst, Krones West Africa and EPSON to talk through a case study of their latest equipment and one that is leading innovation in the sector.

“The Product Innovation Stage will run across all three days of the exhibition so there are lots of opportunities for visitors to learn something new.”

It added that “the keynote will be the Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment (CCT&I), Lagos State Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem. While others speakers are, Flour Mills of Nigeria, LAWMA, Crown Flour Mill Limited, Helen Keller International and Value Ingredients Limited among others.

“The conference at Propak complements the growth and importance of the manufacturing sectors, ensuring sustainability is at the forefront of their efforts and that can be seen with the increase in representation in products and services offered by the 250 brands across the four halls of Propak West Africa this year.”
