There is less than two weeks before the end of the summer transfer window, but Chelsea intend on doing a lot of business before the deadline passes on 30 August.
The Blues have completed a string of big signings already this summer, with Joao Felix becoming the 10th nrw arrival at Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese forward has joined Pedro Neto, Aaron Anselmino, Filip Jorgensen, Caleb Wiley, Renato Viega, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, Tosin Adarabioyo and Omari Kellyman in coming through the door at Stamford Bridge during the current window.
The task now is for the Chelsea hierarchy to trim their absolutely enormous squad as there are clearly plenty of players that are going to see little or no first team action.
Conor Gallagher’s move to Atletico Madrid has finally been completed, but the squad of 40+ players still needs to be significantly reduced.
The biggest names on the chopping block are Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell, who have both been told they will not be involved this season and should find new clubs.
While there will be plenty of clubs interested in the England internationals, moving them on isno foregone conclusion, with Sterling’s contract running for another three years and worth around £300,000-a-week.

Armando Broja is leaving Stamford Bridge for Ipswich Town, with the striker agreeing a loan move to the newly-promoted side.
If the Tractor Boys avoid relegation then a clause in the deal will be triggered and they will have an obligation to buy the Albania international for £30m.
Trevoh Chalobah, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cesare Casadei, Lucas Bergstrom and Djordje Petrovic are all transfer listed, according to The Times, with the Blues hoping offers come in shortly.

Axel Disasi and Carney Chukwuemeka’s futures are also unclear, with Chelsea likely to listen to offers if they come in.
Wesley Fofana was surprisingly left out of the Europa Conference League squad to play Servette on Thursday, but Enzo Maresca confirmed that was fitness related.
‘Wes Fofana is out because he played the other day, so he can’t play on Thursday,’ the manager explained in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
‘Some decisions are made to take care of the players.’
