Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are the latest unlikely pop duo to join forces as they have released a surprise new single Die With A Smile.
After rumours swirled the music icons were set to collaborate on new music, the Telephone hitmaker, 38, and Just The Way You Are singer, also 38, announced they would release the song at midnight on Thursday.
They teased the song with an image of the pair wearing matching blue and red country-inspired outfits, with Bruno rocking a white cowboy hat with his blue suit and striking red shirt.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, looked as stylish as ever with a statement red bow around her neck paired with a retro-futuristic blue dress, appearing moody as she pouted for the camera while clutching a cigarette.
Following its release, the artists even treated unsuspecting fans to the first live rendition of the soulful ballad with Gaga joining Bruno onstage during his California concert at the Intuit Dome.
Bruno and Gaga have also released a country-inspired music video for the single, with the duo performing the song onstage in an ode to televised musical performances in the 1970s.

It is the first new music either artist has released in a number of years, with Bruno last hitting out airwaves in 2021 with his Grammy-winning project Silk Sonic alongside Anderson .Paak and their debut album An Evening With Silk Sonic.
Lady Gaga last released new music in 2020 with her lauded Chromatica album, featuring singles Stupid Love, Rain on Me, 911, and Free Woman.
She also appeared on Rolling Stones track Sweet Sounds Of Heaven last year.
Fans have been quick to share their love for the track, with one going as far as to dub it ‘history-making’.
Jack Newsome joked on Instagram: ‘Call the ambulance I actually died’, while Fustergab said they could ‘already see the Grammys.’
Nicvollano praised: ‘Some of the best vocals yet, hands down.’
Many begged for Bruno and Gaga to release a full album together, while others confessed they already had the new single on repeat.
On X, user allurequinn boasted the song is a ‘timeless classic’ and that it could possibly be ‘the song of the year.’
Lidolmix added: ‘Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, two of the greatest popstars remaining, in one track.. there was no way they’re getting it wrong.’
The song is a one-off collaboration between the pair, with Gaga explaining how the duo came together in a statement.
‘Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and were talking about collaborating,’ she began.
‘I was finishing up my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making.
‘We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song. Bruno’s talent is beyond explanation. His musicianship and vision is next level. There’s no one like him.’
