Footage shows the moment a burglar was tackled to the ground by a security guard after a Morrisons break-in didn’t go as planned.
The incident happened in Bideford, north Devon, when a burglar attempted to loot a Morrisons store in the town centre in the early hours of the morning.
However, the attempt was deterred by an eagle-eyed security guard who was alerted to the commotion.
While one man broke into the store by smashing the door and climbed in, another man appeared to keep guard nearby.

But when the burglar emerged from the windows, the security guard tackled him before the pair wrestled on the ground.
The offender then drops the stolen items and escapes from the scene in The Quay – and losing a shoe like a shady Cinderella.
Now a 31-year-old man from Bideford has been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
He was released on police bail as an investigation continues.
