Manchester United legend Gary Neville will contribute to NBC Sports’ coverage of the upcoming Premier League season after signing a deal with the American network.

The 49-year-old has headed up Sky Sports’ coverage of the Premier League since 2011, first as a pundit and then as a co-commentator.

Alongside his various other business ventures, Neville will now assist NBC with their coverage of the Premier League.

Starting with Friday’s Premier League opener between Manchester United and Fulham, Neville will provide weekly contributions to the network’s coverage as they seek to make further inroads in the American market.

Last season was the most watched Premier League season among American audiences in history, with an average of 546,000 tuning in for each televised match.

NBC hope the addition of Neville will further enhance their coverage, with the network on-site for at least one match a week in England.

Neville’s move will see him reunite with former United goalkeeper Tim Howard, who is a regular analyst on NBC’s coverage.

Neville spent his entire career at Old Trafford, winning 12 Premier League titles and the Champions League during a glittering career.

The right-back was capped 85 times for England.
