A terrified woman was dragged from a house and bundled into a waiting car in a suspected kidnapping captured on CCTV this morning.
The disturbing footage shows the woman trying to resist as someone pulls her towards the vehicle, then shrieking and crying as she is pushed inside.
After the assailant manages to get her inside, they shut the door and calmly walks around to the front seat before driving away as she continues to scream.
The incident took place on a residential street in Bradford, West Yorkshire, at around 4.45am.
A major investigation was launched by police, and a car matching the description was tracked down this afternoon.
Officers said they had arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of kidnap, with the woman involved now ‘safe and well’.
The man remains in police custody ahead of questioning by detectives.
A crime scene remains in place on the city’s Fairbank Road as an investigation into the incident continues.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: ‘Police received a report at 4:43am this morning of a concern for safety in relation to a female on Fairbank Road, Bradford.
‘She left the scene in a vehicle and a vehicle matching its description was stopped this afternoon and the driver and sole occupant, a 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap.
‘He is currently in custody.
‘Following further enquiries, officers are satisfied that they have identified the woman involved and that she is safe and well.’
