In line with the Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to uplifting and empowering women in the state, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Dr Segun Osamaye, announced some critical appointments at the weekend.
In a statement made available to journalists on Sunday, Osamaye said the decision also aligned with the governor’s vision for the welfare and inclusion of women in the state.
She explained that the appointments would also strengthen and enhance Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, which is dedicated to delivering democratic dividends to the people of the state.
According to the statement, the appointments are as follows:
Chief of Staff – Olushola Omoboni Media Consultant – Prince Segun Adesemoye, Special Assistant Technical – Miss Akindujoye Janet, Special Assistant Domestic – Sobowale Silifat, Special Assistant Photography – Kayode Oluwole and Special Assistant Special Duties – Sabiu Garko.
Others are Omolara Akinrogbe and Adedeji Maryam; aides for the North, Sikirat Idera and Wunmi Oguntoye; aides for the Central, Omotehinse Rosemary and Toyin Benson; Aide for the South.
“O’DATIWA Women Initiatives’ Political & Technical Heads include Political & Elderly Women Affairs: Chief Mrs Kehinde Adeniran (Madam Kk) (North), Hon. Aderonke Olamide Akindolire(Central), and MIC Olufunke Pirisola (South).
Other Heads of Entrepreneurs & Professional Women’s Affairs are:
Hon. Ewatomilola Owoeye for Entrepreneurs, Nurse Aarinola Coker ADAMOLEKUN for Health, Dr Funmilola Mabel Ojo PhD. for Education, and Miss Omowole Happiness Esther for HomeGrown Business Owners.
“Heads of Women with Disabilities Affairs are Princess Folasade Arise and Mrs Omobunmi Oluwatoyin as Assistant Head. Technical & Public Awareness positions have been filled by: Miss Morayo Abidemi Itiolu, Miss Motunrayo Oyedele (Motun Global), Nurse Omowunmi Fadairo and Mrs Adenike Adewale Elizabeth.
“Young Women & Female Student Affairs are overseen by: Comrade Grace Atoyebi, Miss Samuel Mercy Abosede, Miss Ayeyemi Oluwatunmise, and Hon Yetunde Adefuwa, Omoboni Olusola, a former President, Student Union Government of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Prince Segun Adesemoye a celebrated and award-winning Media Personality, Miss Akindejuoye Janet a former Vice President, Student Union Government of Adeyemi Federal University of Education while Mrs Kehinde Adeniran is the Immediate Past Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs, Dr Funmilola Mabel Ojo, a seasoned educationist and Nurse Aariola Coker a registered Nurse, Morayo Abidemi, a public health awareness expert while Hon Ewatomi Owoeye is a serial entrepreneur and a successful business person.”
According to the statement, all the appointments are based on Dr Seun Osamaye’s commitment to promoting gender equality, diversity, and inclusivity in governance and the success of the lucky Aiyedatiwa administration.
The statement further explained that the O’datiwa Women Initiatives’ Train is a programme designed to empower and support women throughout the state.
According to it, “This initiative will provide resources, training, and support to help women thrive personally and professionally. Whether it’s access to education, healthcare, or economic opportunities, Governor Aiyedatiwa is committed to uplifting and empowering the women.”
