Search engine Google has gone down, with users unable to make inquiries on one of the world’s most popular websites.

Other sites run by parent company Alphabet, including Gmail and Youtube, are also experiencing difficulties.

Downdetector, which monitors website outages, indicates there are issues with related services Google Maps, Calendar, Cloud, Drive, Meet, and Hangouts.

The problems appear to have started shortly after 2pm, resulting in a sharp spike in reports.
