A young man in his mid-20s has been found stabbed to death in east London.
The man was found with a knife wound on New Union Close, Isle of Dogs, at 4.15pm yesterday.
He was treated at the scene by the emergency services but died a short time later.
An arrest has been made and enquiries are ongoing.
The victim’s family has been told and they are being supported by specialist officers.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘His next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.
‘A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.’
At the time of the stabbing a large number of emergency service vehicles were spotted at the scene.
A crime scene is still in place and there has been an appeal for witnesses.
