The leadership of the Taraba State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to consider the state for more political appointments.
According to them, this will provide the party members in the state a better sense of belonging and enable them to contribute to national development.
Making their position known on Tuesday, while applauding the President for appointing Abubakar Dantsoho, who hails from Taraba, as the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), they acknowledged the significant contribution of the APC in the party’s victory in the last general election.
Speaking through its state public secretary, Aaron Artimas, they said the entire members of the party in Taraba sincerely appreciate the President for selecting Abubakar Dantsoho for this important appointment.
“This is a historic and monumental appointment. Dr. Dantsoho, a certified and brilliant maritime expert and an indigene of Taraba State, had previously served in many roles in the Nigerian Port Authority, including port manager and Technical Assistant to a former Managing Director of NPA,” he said.
While assuring that Dantsoho is the right choice for the position because of his expertise and experience, Artimas argued that APC in Taraba is looking forward to more such important appointments from the state.
